Ahhh, autumn. There is something about September and the back to school season that makes me want to run out to the stationary store and get all stocked up with books and pens!
This is the first week back to College for our Acupuncture and Herbology students. Dr. Yin and all the other professors have been eager to meet the new students, see the old familiar faces again and, once again share their knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
TCM classes offered this semester include: TCM Foundations, Acupuncture Theory, Diagnosis, Clinical Safety course, Acupuncture Techniques and Formulas. Dr. Zhao is also teaching a Western Diagnosis class, so that our students have a solid understanding of allopathic medical diagnosis as well.
And of course, the student clinic is back! Oshio College still has two student clinics for Acupuncture in Victoria: the “McKenzie” clinic, at #110, 1595 McKenzie (at Shelbourne) 250 472 6601 and the “Downtown” clinic at #203, 531 Yates St. 250 360 2700. Treatments with a student practitioner are $20 per session, and are supervised by a Registered Acupuncturist.
Good luck to all the students this semester, and remember, we also have space for students who want to start the program in January, 2014. Our 1, 3, 4, and 5 year programs are eligible for Student loan funding. Please call us if you have any questions.
Enjoy the transition into Autumn!
